How did people react?

I didn’t want any more time passing without sending you a huge thank you for providing us with such a fantastic two days dedicated to art. Both the children and the adults loved the experience and we all came away having learnt new skills. The children were so engaged and enthusiastic throughout the whole two days and it was so lovely to see them just giving it a go, whatever their artistic skills.

I have had really positive feedback from both my KS1 and KS2 colleagues, as well as our deputy and head teacher. I hope that your experience with us was equally positive and, budget allowing, that we can organise a similar event again.

A week has whizzed by since your visit to Sturry, a week full of excitement and Turner inspired painting, thank you so much. The children had a great day and you created quite a buzz, they are still talking about Mr Turner and even bringing me pictures and paintings done at home. We have also looked at some of your videos and I will certainly continue to use them as they are a great addition to a lesson, so thank you very much for them also!

Just wanted to thank you for a very successful day on Monday. The children had such a great day and we’ve had very positive feedback from children and staff.

Thanks once again for a brilliant day, both pupils and staff really enjoyed it and I am hoping that we will be able to arrange another arts day in the next school year!!

Just wanted to say thanks for today. The teachers have been raving about the day – how the kids got so much out of it and produced work they’re really proud of. Also, that it was a shame it was just one day! I hope you had a good day, too .

I never had the time during the term to say thank you for the day when you came to school! It really was a great day and the children and teachers really enjoyed everything! All of the children spoke about how much fun they had and they were all very proud of the finished paintings -we displayed as many as we could in the Hall for parents to see. We hope to have you back again to explore another artist in the future.

A very (overdue) big thank you for your visit! The school was buzzing during and after your visit as Kandinsky, from staff and children alike. Children have been talking about you non-stop! We were amazed at how you captivated so many children in the workshops, and teachers really liked your visits to classrooms in the afternoon.
I have had a steady stream of children over the past couple of weeks, since your visit, to show me further work they have done inspired by Kandinsky and your visit. In the words of our PTA chair who funded your visit – ‘the stuff primary school memories are made of’.

Just a short message to say thank you for a great 2 days last week. Many parents have commented how the children enjoyed working with you and I think we all, staff included learnt so much about the life of the artists. You made our art week the best we have had, not only did the children have a great time, but they really learnt some new ideas and skills. If we can book you again we will.
